PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum container made from an aluminum alloy with a high production yield, and without causing a short circuit between a leading electrode and a negative electrode. SOLUTION: The vacuum container 3 made from the aluminum alloy comprises anodic oxide films 32 and 33 formed on the surface of a base substance 31, a negative electrode which is prepared in the anodic oxide films and electrically combined with the base substance, a leading electrode consisting of an electroconductive material prepared on the surface or the anodic oxide films, and a terminal for the negative electrode for applying voltage on the negative electrode. The negative electrode emits electrons by electric field emission when the negative voltage is applied on the terminal 41 for the negative electrode. The negative electrode is formed in cracks 35 by means of plating metal in the cracks, which have been formed in the anodic oxide film on the vacuum side surface with heat cycles.
