PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brake pad or disk, and a brake formed by the pad capable of making use of C/C composite as base material and also manufactur ing by a simple method and having a superior wear resistant property. SOLUTION: The brake pad or disk, and the brake formed by the pad are manufactured by forming compound material portion comprised of at least silicon carbide having superior wear resistant property and metallic silicon existed at a request basis, which are mixed at a designated ratio, in the surface of a formed body that is manufactured by forming C/C composite such as compound carbon fiber or C/C composite in a designated shape. |
