PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ball joint with a bearing seat which has a simple constitution and imparts a specified preload to a ball stud. SOLUTION: An insertion hole 21 in which the shaft 16 of a ball stud 3 is inserted is opened at one axial end and a bearing seat 4 is formed to have a nearly bottomed cylindrical form housing a spherical head 15 is formed. The opening edge side part of the insertion hole 21 of the bearing seat 4 and the opening edge side part of the through hole 22 oppositing to the bottom face 7 of the housing 2 are made thick. The bearing seat 4 is made gradually thick from the position corresponding to the equatorial position of the housed spherical head 15. When a load acts along the axial direction from the shaft 16 of the ball stud 3, the thick part absorbs the large loading part to prevent remarkable abrasion and hence, a specified preload can be stably imparted for a long time.
