PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sliding door having a nonexisting unique expansion/ shrinkage function. SOLUTION: The sliding door comprises a first door 1, a second door 2 incorporated on the back face of the first door 1, and a third door 3 incorporated on the back face of the second door 2. The second door 2 can be extracted from one side end of the first door 1, with its complete release prevented. The third door 3 can be extracted from the second door 2, with its complete release prevented. The doors 1, 2, 3 are supported on a common straight rail 4 fitted to a framework above the doors so that they can be slid along the straight rail.
