PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrosilylation method by which formation proportion of a β-adduct is increased in the addition reaction to a double bond, and the formation proportion of a main product is increased when a byproduct is formed. SOLUTION: The hydrosilylation reaction of (c) a compound of the general formula: HSiR<13> 3 with (d) a compound containing an unsaturated hydrocarbon group in the presence of both of (a) a silicon compound of the general formula: HR2 Si-R<1> -R<2> -Z [R<1> is -O- or -NR<3> -; R<2> is -CR<7> R<8> -; Z is -C≡C-R<9> ,-R<10> C=CHR<9> , formula I or formula II; R<3> and R<9> to R<11> are each H, a 1-8C hydrocarbon group of SiR<4> R<5> R<6> (R<4> to R<6> are each H or a 1-3C alkyl group); R<12> is a 1-3C divalent hydrocarbon group; R<13> is a 1-18C hydrocarbon group, a 1-18C halogenated hydrocarbon group, a 1-6C alkoxy group, a 6-10C aryloxy group, Cl, a siloxy group or a siloxanoxy group], and (b) a platinum catalyst. |
