PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning agent composition capable of cleaning microorganism-related dirt developed on a water supply system such as a bathroom, a kitchen, a water supply tube, or a ditch, with high efficiency in a safe manner, and a cleaning method using the composition. SOLUTION: The cleaning agent composition is prepared by compounding a cellulase, i.e., a sugar polymer decomposing enzyme, and a thickener. The cleaning of a polluted surface of a material to be cleaned on which dirt materials generated under the participation of microbes exist, is achieved by impregnating the polluted surface with a cleaning liquid prepared by adding the cleaning agent composition, or applying the cleaning liquid on the polluted surface, and after passage of a specific time, the surface is washed with water.
