PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a long life electrifying device to efficiently perform electrification by low voltage under a non-contact state and with less ozone production quantity in comparison with that in the conventional manner. SOLUTION: In the electrifying device to electrify an electrified body by applying voltage between the electrifying device and the electrified body, a minute projection (projection 11) is provided on the surface of wire 13 of the electrifying device and the electrified body is electrified by applying the voltage to the wire. Thus, electrification by the low voltage is enabled and the ozone production quantity is reduced by providing the minute projection containing nano tube materials, for example, carbon on the surface of the wire.
