[Also in Division H1] A line transformer for a T.V. receiver has a H.T. secondary 3 tuned to an odd harmonic of the fundamental flyback frequency and an auxiliary winding 7, arranged so as to be energized by leakage flux only, which provides a control voltage which in use tends to stabilize the voltage provided by the H.T. secondary 3. With increasing load on the picture tube the control voltage provided by winding 7 varies proportionately more than the voltage provided by the H.T. winding 3. The winding 7 may be carried on a movable former or on insulating tape. A ferrite pin movable in an air gap may be used for tuning or a coil and compensating winding may be used. The auxiliary winding may be printed on a card or on a clamping-plate for the core.</p> |
