摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multiplex light separating device which can greatly vary the pulse intensity of a separated light signal train irrelevantly to variation in the polarizing direction of multiplex light. SOLUTION: The multiplex light 11 is separated by a separating means 21 into two polarized light components, which are inputted to a semiconductor laser 12 from both its ends 12a and 12b while synchronized with the exciting pulse light 19 in the semiconductor laser 12 and having the same polarizing direction. Through the mutual action between the polarized light components and the exciting light circulated in the semiconductor laser 12, wavelength- converted pulse lights 11a corresponding to the intensity of both the polarized light components are outputted from end parts of the semiconductor laser on the opposite sides from the input ends of the polarized light components. The wavelength-converted pulse lights 11a are multiplexed by an optical multiplexing means 21 and then extracted by a filter 24. One light signal train of the multiplex light is separated as a wavelength-converted light from the multiplex light.</p>
