PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel injection quantity control device for an internal combustion engine capable of controlling to a fuel injection quantity not to cause overs and shorts when a cam angle sensor of a fuel injection pump is abnormal due to failure or the like, requiring a little rotational variation, and always controlling the fuel injection quantity to the safety side to prevent an accident due to sudden jump-out or sudden stop. SOLUTION: When the cam angle sensor of the fuel injection pump is abnormal, an instantaneous change of the internal combustion engine is calculated according to a difference between the instantaneous rotational frequency in the preceding explosion stroke and the instantaneous rotational frequency in this time explosion stroke. According to the instantaneous change of rotational frequency of the internal combustion engine, the correction amount for the valve closing driving time of a solenoid spill valve corresponding to the basic fuel injection quantity obtained by this time rotational frequency of the internal combustion engine and an opening of an accelerator is calculated. |
