PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combustor and a fuel supply system in which liquid fuel can be combusted completely under such a state as generation of nitrogen oxides can be suppressed while preventing generation of black smoke or undue high combustion temperature. SOLUTION: The combustor comprises a combustion means, e.g. a burner 4 or an engine, for combusting liquid fuel, and a fuel supply system comprising a passage 9 for supplying liquid fuel from a liquid fuel tank 6 to the combustion means, a reformer 10 disposed in the liquid fuel supply passage 9 and reforming liquid fuel passing through action of a magnetic or electric field, a mixer 11 disposed in the liquid fuel supply passage 9 in the downstream of the reformer 10, and a unit 16 for supplying liquid, e.g. water, for suppressing generation of nitrogen oxides at the time of combustion through the combustion means coupled with the mixer 11 from a liquid containing tank 12 through the reformer or a reformer 10 provided separately.
