PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase an allowable load for one lug and reduce the burden of a bending moment of a water tuber wall in a support structure for an intermediate support type water tube boiler used in a waste incinerator or a waste melting furnace. SOLUTION: The support structure for the water tube boiler comprises the water tube wall 2, back stays 3, lug 4, a frame member 5 and connecting members 6. Particularly, the right and left connecting members 6 connect the back stays 3 and the lugs 4 together.
