PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device which can reduce an image forming time, while maintaining a character at a high grade and an image at a standard grade formed from an image data for character generation and an image data for image formation respectively when using nonexistent font in the image forming device and to provide an image forming system using the above device. SOLUTION: High resolution image data and low resolution image data are generated for a character formation and an image formation other than the character respectively in a host computer and they are transmitted to the image forming device. The image forming device converts the received low resolution image data for the image formation other than the character into high resolution, and generates the composite image data combining it with the image data for character formation. Thus, the high grade character and the standard grade image can be formed in a short time. |
