PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device for advertisement capable of detecting a section to be detected which is disposed at a flexible member as prescribed by sensor means even if a deflection occurs at the point of the flexible member corresponding to an intermediate position of two shafts. SOLUTION: This display device for advertisement is let off and taken up of a sheet-like member 30 which is the flexible member provided with an advertisement display section 31 by rotation of take-up shafts 5 and 7 which are upper and lower two shafts. The sensor means 35 and 36 detect the section 33 to be detected which is disposed at the sheet-like member 30, by which the driving of drivers 11 and 12 of driving means of the take-up shafts 5 and 7 is controlled. The sensor means 35 and 36 and are arranged near the upper take-up shaft 5 with which the deflection of the sheet-like member 30 is lessened or entirely eliminated by the upper take-up shaft 5 and an upper guide roller 6.
