Process for dry desulfurizing gaseous combustion products of fossil fuels and apparatus for making the same

Dry method for desulphurising an exhaust gas (H) comprises: introducing a desulphurising agent (A) contg an alkali metal cpd. (A1) or an alkali ne-earth metal cpd. (A2) a furnace (F) burning a fuel of petroleum or coal contg a S cpd. or into the duct of exhaust gas of the furnace contg S cpd.; and spraying water onto (G) or a part of spraying on the inlet of (D) to remove the S cpd. A device for forming a vortex flow of (G) in the direction of flow of (G) is in (D) which forms an area of high humidity and mixes into the area. The ratio of amts. of supplying water to gas contg SO2 is pref. 0.02-0.5 1/m3N. The water spraying nozzles are on an upper position 1-5 m from the inlet of (G) in (D); and are in both side walls of (D) to oppose each other. The sprayed water of the nozzles collides onto the walls.
