PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an impact dot printer capable of efficiently cooling a heating component without increasing manufacturing costs or being upsized. SOLUTION: When printing operations are terminated, a carriage 5 moves to a stand-by position CR2 so as to cool a printing head 10 with a fan, and moves to a cooling position after the printing head 10 is cooled, in order to continue to drive the fan. A wind generated by the fan passes through the printing head 10, and flows into a cell 20 from an opening 25 of a chassis 1 through a hood 40. Air flowing into the cell 20 cools an IC 24 so as to be discharged from an open port 23 outside the printer. |
