PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a correction device for a machine plate enabling an inexpe rienced operator to cope with a fan-out easily and quickly and consequently assuring stable printing of superior quality in a short time. SOLUTION: The device consists of a track plate 72 extending toward a first direction, plural vice sections 30 for holding a side edge of plate end of the machine plate 500 in parallel in the first direction which are respectively movable toward the first direction and arranged on the track plate 72 in parallel in the first direction, joint sections 62a to 62c interconnected among the vice sections 30 with changeable distances between the vice sections 30, and a dial gage 91 for measuring the position of the vice sections 30 in the first direction. The degree of deformation of the machine plate 500 is measured by the dial gage 91, while moving the vice sections 30 toward the first direction by the joint sections 62a to 62c in a state the plate 500 is held by the vice sections 30 and deforming the side edge of plate end of the machine plate 500 is the width direction.
