<p>Synthetic resin mixt. for glazed paper prodn., opt. after dilution, contains (a) >=1 synthetic hydrocarbon resin with cyclic but non-aromatic structure of polymerised alkanes, (b) 0.4-1.2 wt.%/wt. (a) >=1 polyisobutylene resin, pref. of mol. wt. 60000-140000, (c) 1.3-3 wt.%/wt. (a) >=1 polydialkyl siloxane of 10-50 cP viscosity, and (d) 0.005-1.5 wt.%/wt. (a) >=1 anti-oxidant, and pref. contains 35-50% (a), 0.2-0.4% (b), 0.66-1% (c) and 0.01-0.5% (d) (all % ages in wt. %/total wt. of composn.), dissolved in a non-aromatic hydrocarbon solvent, or hydrocarbon mixt. compatible with printing inks, with small content of aromatic cpds., of >=23 degrees C (26.7-280 degrees C) flash-point, where the resins are present as true soln. in the solvent at >=15.6 degrees C. Pref. (a) is a thermoplastic polymer from steam-cracked petroleum fractions of 30-280 degrees C b.pt. range, polymerised in presence of Friedel-Crafts catalysts, or esp. a resinous copolymer of olefines and diolefines; and (c) is polydimethyl siloxane or polyphenyl methyl siloxane.</p> |
