PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus in which the removal of a toner seal for preventing the toner leakage of a toner cartridge can properly be checked. SOLUTION: When facsimile equipment 1 detects a toner end in a normal operation, the facsimile equipment 1 confirms whether a toner cartridge is replaced with a new one on the basis of the opening and closing state of the upper part cover of a toner cartridge and the detection result of a toner end sensor. When the toner cartridge is replaced with the new one, the facsimile equipment 1 expands a compressed image for test printing to perform test printing to record and output on recording paper by using a plotter. After test printing, inquiry to an operator about the result of the test printing is displayed on the display part of an operating port. When the instruction operation indicating that the test printing is normal is performed through the operating port, the operation is shifted to the normal operation. When the test printing is not normal, a message to urge the operator to remove the toner seal is displayed on the display part. When the toner seal is removed, the test printing is performed again, and the operation is shifted to the normal operation when the test printing is normally performed. |
