PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plant culture apparatus easily installable on the floor of a building such as roof, effective for improving the waterproof function and root-proof function to promote the growth of the plant, surely preventing the intrusion of the root into the floor of the building to dispense with the excessively complicate work of the roof wall of the building and reduce the construction cost. SOLUTION: The plant culture apparatus 1 is composed of a container unit 2 having a thin box shape. Each container unit 2 is provided with a circumferential frame 9 to hold a soil bed, a bottom wall 10 gently inclining downward from the lower end of the circumferential frame 9, completely closing the lower part of the circumferential frame 9 and having draining holes 13 at the lower end, a soil bed supporting plate 8 horizontally placed in the circumferential frame 9 on the bottom wall 10 with a plurality of ribs 11, supporting the soil bed from under and having water permeability, a root-proofing lid 7 placed at the draining holes 13 of the bottom wall 10 and supporting legs 12 vertically extended downward from several parts of the lower face of the bottom wall 10 and fixing the apparatus on the floor of the building, etc.
