PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new plastic bottle cutting tool capable of easily cutting and removing a cap attachment opening and a wrapping film from a used PET bottle. SOLUTION: This plastic bottle cutting tool is provided with an annular main body having an opening capable of having the cap attachment opening of the bottle inserted in formed in a center position, a pair of operation plates pivotally supported at each one end part symmetrically with respect to the opening and rotatable in parallel with the main body, a spring energizing a pair of the operation plates in a direction isolating another end parts of the operation plates from the opening, and a cutting edge projecting from another end parts of the operation plates toward the opening. The cutting edge does not project into an inside of a circumference edge of the opening and another end parts of a pair of the operation plates project out from a circumference edge of the main body by a desired width when the tool is not used. Another end parts of a pair of the operation plates are pressed in toward the circumference edge of the main body against energizing force of the spring to make the cutting edge project into the inside of the circumference edge of the opening when the tool is used.
