PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to securely clean off dust such as cut-off particles, etc., stuck to the tip surface of a main shaft of a machine tool, over the whole surface thereof. SOLUTION: A cleaning holder 10 is constituted of a taper shank part 21 with a rotating body 24 rotatably provided around the shaft of the taper shank part 21 opposite to a clearance d formed between the tip surface 121 of the main shaft 12 and the rear tip surface 222 of a flange part 22, and an air passage 241 is shaped in a ring form along the inner circumferential surface of the rotating body 24. At the rotating body 24, a plurality of air-injecting holes 241 passing through and opened from the air passage 241 to the clearance d so as to be tilted at a prescribed angle toward the circumferential direction with regard to the radial direction of the rotating body 24 are formed in the circumferential direction spaced at prescribed intervals, the body 24 is rotated by the injecting force of the air injected from respective injecting holes 242 thereof, and the air injected from the air injecting holes 242 of the rotating body 24 is injected toward the clearance d.
