MANUFACTURE OF BRICK BY SINTERING AT LOW TEMPERATURE USING KAOLIN WITH LOW REFRACTORINESS

摘要

PURPOSE: A manufacturing method of bricks using kaolin with low refractoriness unlike clay bricks is provided to express natural colors, save manufacturing costs, and enable low temperature sintering. CONSTITUTION: The bricks are manufactured by the following steps: grinding 40-70wt.% of kaolin with refractoriness of 9-11, 15-30wt.% of sand, and 15-30wt.% of polishing sand to a size of 2mm or less; mixing with water to be 17-21wt.% of water content; forming and drying for 70hrs.; sintering at 950-980deg.C.
