PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling furnace temperature in a heating furnace having a guide response to the heat in the ordinary operation while preventing the rapid raise of the temperature. SOLUTION: In the control method of the furnace temperature, with which the supplying amounts of fuel and air are adjusted based on the measured value Tpv to a set furnace temperature Ts, a limit starting temperature Tb having lower temperature than a heat resistant upper limit temperature Tp of a refractory and higher than the set furnace temperature Ts, is set. When the measured value Tpv is lower than the heat resistant upper limit temperature Tp and higher than the limit starting temperature Tb, these supplying amounts are reset by multiplying a correcting value C1 in the range of 0-1 monotonously reduced to the increase of the measured value by the supplying amount set value SV2 of the fuel.
