PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous battery with improved capacity per electrode mass affected by ionic conductivity inhibition, particularly lithium ionic conductivity inhibition which is a conventional weak point of a binding agent, by resolving problems of a binding property, electrochemical stability, or formability such as viscosity of an electrode paste for the nonaqueous battery. SOLUTION: Stability as a paste and wettability to various current collecting materials (conductive base materials) are improved by using a polymer containing a repetitive structure unit having an amide structure, particularly a polymer having N-vinylacetamide as a main monomer, as a binding agent of the electrode paste, and adhesiveness with the current collecting materials, the binding property of an electrode active material, the electrochemical stability, and affinity with an electrolyte are superior in a positive electrode provided by this. A nonaqueous battery (nonaqueous solution based battery) with high capacity, long service life and high reliability and capable of operating at a high current can be provided by using the positive electrode. |
