PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively improve a function by adding other structure except the signal obtainable based on a mechanical contact by a mechanism of irregularities provided on the surface of a key. SOLUTION: Magnetic bodies 12a and 12b are assembled inside the key 10, and, mechanical switches 21a-21e to detect the irregularities on the surface of the key, magnets 22a-22d, and Hall elements 23a-23d are provided to a key receiving part 20. The Hall elements 23a-23d are arranged so as to be in ON states by a magnetic field formed by the magnetic bodies 12a and 12b after the magnetic bodies 12a and 12b inside the key 10 are magnetized by the magnetic field formed by the magnets 22a-22d inside the key receiving part 20. A key judging part judges whether the magnetic bodies 12a and 12b are assembled at prescribed positions inside the inserted key 10 or not based on the ON/ OFF states of the Hall elements 23a-23d.
