PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for generating ozone capable of operating an ozonizer under stable condition by preventing ozone generating efficiency from dropping when changed the raw oxygen gas to be introduced into the ozonizer from an oxygen gas generated by PSA to a spare oxygen gas obtained with an oxygen gas supplying device of evaporating-type for backup. SOLUTION: When an accident occurred in oxygen generating device of pressure swing adsorption-type (PSA 12) and a supply of raw oxygen gas stopped, a spare raw oxygen gas containing an oxygen gas for backup and an addition gas other than oxygen is fed to the ozone generating device of discharging-type (ozonizer 11).
