PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve efficiency, when a belt runs near at a low-speed(LOW) or overdrive(OD) mode using a safe and reliable method. SOLUTION: As for a compound drive belt equipped with a carrier and a plurality of horizontal elements assembled slidably thereon, the carrier contains not less than one band, preferably contains a plurality of endless metal bands arranged around the radial direction with each other, each element provides a carrier contact surface outwards in the radial direction in contact with the radial inside contact surface on running, and the contact surfaces of the both carrier and element have surfaces without contours. Especially the roughness and shape of the contact surface related to the belt is adapted to attain hydrodynamic lubricating conditions, and the lubricating oil is determined to meet the requirements of the bush belt with improved efficiency. |
