PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of preventing irregularities in an image. SOLUTION: As for a copying machine 30, the machine 30 is provided with a transfer belt 2 for electrostatically attracting and carrying a transfer paper and transferring an image held on an image carrier onto the transfer paper, and a transfer exit guide plate 18 for guiding the transfer paper to the downstream side in the carrying direction after the transfer paper is separated from the transfer belt 2, and destaticizing needles 1 for destaticizing the transfer paper are arranged halfway on the paper passing surface 18a side of the transfer exit guide plate 18, and a rear electrode plate 20 integrally grounded with the guide plate 18 is arranged on the rear side of the paper passing surface 18a of the guide plate 18, and a recessed part 23 is formed in the paper passing surface 18a of the guide plate 18 so as to clear the end part of the transfer paper which is smaller than the maximum paper passing size, a grounded recessed electrode plate 21 is installed at the base 23a of the recessed part 23 of the guide plate 18.
