PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preparing a polyester film, wherein a polyester film that is excellent in heat stability and color, and has few defects due to foreign materials, is prepared at a low cost, without using an antimony or germanium compound as a main catalyst for polyester, and to provide a polyester film thereby. SOLUTION: A polyester is prepared by polymerization, using one or more selected from the group consisting of aluminum and compounds thereof as a catalyst. The polyester is used as a main raw material for preparing a polyester film. |
