PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a voltage-controlled oscillator which is superior in versatility. SOLUTION: A ring oscillator 171 composed of an odd number of inverters IV is electrified between a power source VDD and the ground and its electrification quantity is controlled with two control signals inputted to the VCO 170. Namely, transistors T1a and T2a are controlled with the control signal from an input terminal (a) and then the continuity is controlled between each inverter IV and the power source and each inverter IV and the ground. Transistors T1b and T2b are controlled with the control signal from an input terminal (b) and then the continuity is controlled between each inverter IV and the power source and between each inverter IV and the ground. Those transistors T1b and T2a have larger current driving capacity than those of the transistors T1b and T2b.
