PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a reading error due to a mark extending to an adjacent mark column in relation to a recognizing method, a program, and a storage medium of a mark type voting card where a plurality of mark columns are disposed at parallel positions corresponding to a plurality of timing marks arranged in a constant interval in the conveying direction. SOLUTION: An image is produced by reading a card surface with a reading part while conveying the voting card, a position of the timing mark is analyzed from the image data, a fill-in state of each mark column corresponding to the position of the timing mark is analyzed, the image data in a mark transom corresponding to a gap between the timing marks is carved out to identify the state. A mark state of the mark transom corresponding to the gap between the timing marks is analyzed, and fill-in states of the mark columns before and after the mark transom are recognized using the analyzing result. |
