PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coupling characterized by high grade operation safety and wear resistance. SOLUTION: First shaft direction adjusting devices 23 and 53 are rotatably fixed and movable in the shaft direction. Balls 27 and 57 are arranged between pressing force rings 25 and 55 and set rings 24 and 54, and a ball ramp mechanism for holding the balls 27 and 57 in ramp-shaped circumferential grooves 28, 58, 29 and 59 within facing ring surfaces is provided. Second annular chambers 30 and 60 which have a third plate and a fourth plate arranged and are filled with a highly viscous fluid are provided. Pressing rings 34 and 64 have braking assemblies for the set rings 24 and 54 provided with second viscous couplings. For the braking assemblies for the set rings 24 and 54, second shaft direction adjusting devices 36, 37, and 66, 67 are provided.
