STENT HOLDING MEMBER AND STENT FEEDING SYSTEM

A stent holding member which is used in a stent feeding system for transferring a stent to be embedded in a living body to a desired holding position in a vas, the stent holding member having a cylindrical holder formed of elastic material. The holder is provided with a groove for holding a wire or wires of which the stent of cylindrical construction is constituted, the wire being inserted in the groove to hold the stent. The groove for holding the wire of the stent of cylindrical construction will have its open-end side expanded by radial expansion of the holder. The expansion of the open-end side of the groove causes the stent held in the groove to be diametrically expanded and released from the holder.
