ELECTRODELESS DISCHARGE LAMP DEVICE AND BLACK LIGHT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrodeless discharge lamp device and a black light using the discharge lamp device capable of delaying a progress of blackening in a bulb inner wall face generated along with a lighting progress and improving a sustaining rate of a luminous characteristic (an irradiated ultraviolet quantity) by improving quality of quartz glass which is a forming material of an arc tube bulb. SOLUTION: The electrodeless discharge lamp device L is provided with the arc tube bulb 1 in which an OH base of an inner wall face side of a cylindrical part which is an unworked part comprising a cylindrical quartz glass tube is 10 ppm or less and sealing parts 12 are formed on both ends of the cylindrical part by a thermal process, a discharge medium comprising mercury and rare gas for discharge sealed in an interior of the arc tube bulb 1, and a dielectric coil 5 wound along a longitudinal direction of an outer circumferential face of the arc tube bulb 1. The black light uses the electrodeless discharge lamp L.
