PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a picture forming device improved in safety by discharging a capacitor used as an auxiliary power source of a heating power source for a fixing device when the main power source is disconnected. SOLUTION: The picture forming device 1 supplies power from the main power source to a fixing heater for heating a heating roller 17, and charges from the main power source the capacitor 28 as the auxiliary power source of the fixing part 16 for heating and fixing a sheet of recording paper P with a transferred toner picture by a heating roller 17 and a pressure roller, and immediately after the main power source is disconnected, post-disconnection processing such as driving a fan 25 by using the capacitor 28 as a power supply, and thereby discharges the capacitor 28. Therefore, when the picture forming device 1 is disconnected from the power source, the capacitor 28 can be brought into discharged-out state, and thus safety can be improved by preventing the capacitor 28 from exploding when the picture forming device 1 is transported or the like. |
