Disclosed are compounds of the formula: wherein R and R' are hydrogen or C1, to C6 alkyl, and X is halo, pharmaceutical compositions containing the compounds as active ingredients, and use of the compounds in the photodynamic treatment of cancers and the purging of cancer cells from biological material to be transplanted into cancer patients.
