The mast carries a sail with an edge bulge or with mast guides in a mast groove (m1, m2) running from top to bottom of the mast. A carriage (1) with a traction cable can run in the mast groove. The carriage has a device with lubricant or cleaning fluid, operable at any mast height in the mast groove.
