A composition having a bactericidal action is provided which has no toxicity to the human body, and particularly a composition having a bactericidal action is provided which exhibit an excellent therapeutic effect for skin diseases such as atopic dermatitis, acne or the like. A composition, in which an extract from a silk gland and/or a liquid silk is an active ingredient, has a bactericidal action to make renewal of a skin cell, exhibiting an excellent therapeutic effect for skin diseases.
