PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a garbage disposer which enables easy replacing of a part of a carrier, inhibits proliferation of anaerobic bacteria and exhibits outstanding heat retaining properties. SOLUTION: This garbage disposer comprises a disposer body 1 having a disposal tank 3 equipped with a stirring arm 9 and another support member 17 provided below outside the disposer body 1. The disposer body 1 is structured in such a way that it is rotatable around a shaft formed in the horizontal direction by pivotally supporting the disposer body 1 to the support member 17 by means of the shaft. When the internal carrier 35 of the disposal tank 3 is replaced, the disposer body 1 is rotated around the shaft to the support member 17 and thrown down by activating a foot-operated stopper device 24. Further, the old carrier is taken out of an aperture in the disposal tank 3 and the disposer body 1 is again raised to load a new carrier 35 into the disposal tank 3.
