PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a crusher of simple structure which is little clogged and with can be used for easily shearing, crushing, mixing, homogenizing, sorting, etc., material with low energy consumption even for the material having different physical and chemical characteristics and to provide a process and an apparatus for preparing material. SOLUTION: The crusher 1 is provided with a first roll 1a where two sets of spiral blades 2a and 2b and grooves 4a and 4b formed in directions crossing with each other are formed at the circumferential surface toward a center part from both of the end sides of a shaft to form isolated projection 8a and space part 9a at a cross part 7 and a second role 1b having a shape plane- symmetrical to the first role 1a. The crusher 1 has structure where the blades of one roll are inserted to the grooves of the other roll.
