摘要 1291483 Railway propulsion VOITH GETRIEBE KG 12 Dec 1969 [12 Dec 1968] 60834/69 Headings B7H and B7L A railway train comprises a first vehicle 1 provided with a gas turbine 3 driving a threephase A.C. generator 4, the current produced by the generator being used to drive wheeled axles 9, 12, 18 and 19 of vehicle 1 and further vehicles 5, 6 and 7 by means of electric motors 10, 13, 17 and 20, with an hydrodynamic transmission device located between each motor and axle. In Fig. 3, the hydrodynamic coupling 29 is located within a housing between motor 28 and gearing 30 to axle 31. Fins 32, 33 attached to the coupling draws in air from either end of the housing for cooling purposes. In a coupling having controllable filling, cooling is provided for the liquid of the coupling and an hydrodynamic brake mounted on the coupling output shaft. In another embodiment, the liquid is cooled by being passed through a cooler mounted on the output shaft of the coupling. In Fig. 6, the hydrodynamic device comprises an adjustable fluid converter 43 which operates with a mechanical reversing gear 49 to provide reversibility of drive. The gear 49 and converter 43 are operated by compressed air in pairs of lines 62, 63 and 66, 67. To eliminate the reversing gear 49, two converters may be provided. In the train of Fig. 8 a gas turbine 71 mechanically drives the wheels vehicle 70 at low speeds, but at higher speeds switch 80 is closed and current from generator 76 drives electric motors 20 associated with driven axles of the other vehicles of the train.
