The present invention relates to a ventilation duct construction. The ventilation duct construction comprises a ventilation duct which is passed through a through hole in a wall. The construction further comprises a shielding sheet structure comprising a first portion extending essentially in parallel with the ventilation duct, and a second portion extending essentially in parallel with the penetrated wall. The shielding sheet structure is arranged externally at least partially around the duct at such a distance that an air gap is formed between the shielding sheet structure and both the duct and the penetrated wall. The invention also relates to a method of providing a fire protectd penetration of a ventilation duct in a wall. |
