PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the time required for long code identification, without increasing the hardware scale. SOLUTION: On a transmission side, a mask symbol spread by a short code in common to all base stations is provided at equal intervals in one transmission frame, and a symbol spread by a long-code group identification short code is multiplexed with the mask symbol and transmitted according to a prescribed pattern. On a reception side, at detecting of the long-code group identification short code, the pattern of the multiplexed symbol is detected in a pattern detection 113, and a long-code phase is obtained. On the basis of the long-code phase, the long-code in a long code group is searched. |
