<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a channel coding and decoding device for a wireless unit, that reduces the quantity of a parameter arithmetic operation for coding/ decoding processing including a rate so as to reduce the current consumption and uses a memory of a small capacity and a decoder with a small scale to cope with a mask pattern for different coding. SOLUTION: A TFCI(Transport Format Combination Indicator) latch/ comparison section 1-1 latches a TFCI resulting from decoding a TFCI code word from a transmitter for a Transmission Time Interval (TTI) and compares the just preceding TFCI with the current TFCI, gives a STOP signal to a parameter arithmetic circuit 15-1 to stop parameter arithmetic processing when they are the same with each other. Similarly to the case with the coding processing during transmission when the just preceding TFCI and the current TFCI are the same, the parameter arithmetic processing is stopped. Furthermore, the channel coding and decoding device copes with a mask pattern for a different coding through a bit shift operation of the TFCI.</p> |
