PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lighten the load of compiler control on user originating from development of a microprocessor, e.g. increase of option functions of a compiler. SOLUTION: For example, in the compiler, a user himself/herself defines a combination of an option character string of the computer and a compiler function specified by the string as an option translation definition file 14 and the option character string (user definition option character string) defined by the user is translated into an option character string previously supplied by the compiler on the basis of the option translation definition file 14 by an option character string translation section 11. Then by compiling by a conventional option character string identification section 12 and a compile execution section 13, option character strings for the compiler can be coordinated according to a user's intended purpose and the load regarding user's compiler control can be lightened.
