PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information storage device capable of simultaneously and inexpensively distributing the same contents data to plural terminals, and to provide an information distribution system using the storage device. SOLUTION: Contents data are inserted into an optical ring 11 formed by an optical fiber like a ring and circulated and contents data specified by a terminal 5 out of the contents data circulated in the ring 11 are extracted from the ring 11 by a branch/speed conversion device 13 and distributed to the terminals 5.
