摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce variations in voltages of respective cells C1-C40 constituting a battery pack. SOLUTION: When a battery pack is charged, cell controllers C/C1-C/C5 detect the respective voltages of cells C1-C40. A battery control device B/C calculates the standard deviation of the cell voltages and makes the cells with large variations charged and discharged repeatedly, until the standard deviation reaches a value not larger than 0.002 V. After charging/discharging of the battery pack is finished, the cell control devices C/C1-C/C5 detect the respective voltages of the cells (C1-C40) every 30 minutes. The battery control device B/C calculates the standard deviation of the cell voltages and, if the standard deviation exceeds 0.002 V, makes the battery pack charged and discharged repeatedly again. With this constitution, the variations of the voltages of the respective cells can be reduced.
