The invention relates to a method for reconstructing an audio signal having an incomplete spectrum, comprising the following: a decomposition stage (140) for the incomplete-spectrum signal (A), known as the first signal, into a plurality of second signals (B1,B2,B3); a stage (160) for generating third signals (C1,C2,C3) from said second signals, the third signals having spectrums which are respectively extrapolated from spectrums of said second signals: a stage in which the third signals are combined to produce a fourth signal (D): a stage (180) in which the first signal (A) and the fourth signal (D) are combined in order to provide a reconstructed spectrum signal. The invention also relates to a corresponding reconstruction device and a coding/decoding device comprising the above.
