PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a client server system by using a function supply server giving an image retrieval function and a service supply server having an application using the function by incorporating it. SOLUTION: The service supply server machine 3 has a Web server 3a, an accounting part 3b and a Web application 3d. A function supply server machine 4 has the Web server 4a, the accounting part 4b, and an image access function part 4d. The server machines and a client machine 2 are connected through a network 1. An image retrieval request transmitted from the client machine 2 is transmitted to the function supply server machine 4 thorough the Web application 3d. In the server machine 4, the accounting part 4b charges a user with respect to the received image retrieval request, retrieves a imaged similar to the image which is retrieval-requested in the image access function part 4d and transmits the retrieval result to the Web application 3d. The service supply server machine 3 displays the retrieved image to the user and charges the user. |
